FAQs

Q: Where’s the nearest place I can buy RYVITA® products?

A: You should be able to buy most, if not all of our range in your nearest major supermarket chain. To find out exactly who stocks each product, click here.

Q: Do RYVITA® products contain gluten?

A: All Ryvita products contain Gluten.

Gluten is found in grains such as wheat, rye, oats and barley, and all of our products contain at least one of these cereals.

Gluten is known to cause inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract in 0.5-1% of the population. This condition is known as Coeliac Disease and the only treatment is a strict gluten-free diet. For further information on Coeliac Disease and gluten-free diets, please contact:

Q: Do RYVITA® products contain wheat?

A: Wheat flour is the primary ingredient RYVITA® Thins, RYVITA® Crackerbread and also appears in RYVITA®Fruit Crunch Crispbread. Sufferers of wheat allergy or intolerance should avoid these products.

RYVITA® Cream Cheese & Chive Minis contain tiny amounts of wheat ingredients. These should be avoided by those diagnosed with a wheat allergy.

All our other products do not contain wheat.  They are however made in a bakery that uses wheat.

Wheat allergy or intolerance are pretty uncommon in the UK and excluding Coeliac Disease affect only 0.1% of the population. If you have any concerns regarding the above we recommend that you visit your GP who will be best placed to offer advice based on your particular circumstance.

Q: What is meant by ‘Guideline Daily Amounts’?

Guideline Daily Amounts (GDA) feature on most food labels these days and aim to take a lot of the guesswork out of what nutrients we should be eating.

A: Each GDA shows the recommended amount for an average adult, giving you a rough framework for a healthy, balanced diet.

You can find GDAs and other dietary info for all our products on this site as well as on the back of every pack.
