London Particular Soup

A thick, warming soup to keep you going and keep out the winter chills!

Method

Melt some butter in a pan and add 2 oz of bacon, 1 onion chopped, 1 chopped carrot and 1 chopped celery stick and cook for about 5 - 10 minutes until softened. Add 1 Ib of split dried peas and 4 pints of chicken stock and bring to the boil, then cover and simmer for about an hour until the peas are soft. Let it cool slightly then blitz it in a blender until smooth - return the mix to the saucepan and add 4 tablespoons of natural yogurt and heat it up slowly. You can either use Wholegrain Crackerbread to dip in or put in some sweet chilli minis.
