Snap, crackle and pop! Yes, it's Guy Fawkes Night and you've got your winter woollies on but where are the best celebrations? We've compiled a list of Britain's Best Bonfires and Fireworks so all you have to worry about is getting the sparklers. We'll also help you take care of the food; RYVITA® Thins dipped into our new RYVITA® Bonfire Dip are the perfect fireworks sharing snack for all the family.

Rye, East Sussex
We had to start this list by mentioning Rye where a 15,000 strong procession leads down to a bonfire perfect for Ryveaters! Imagine sharing round the RYVITA® Thins ready to dip in the RYVITA® Bonfire Dip whilst following a procession in Rye, East Sussex!! Ryveater perfection!

Lewes, Sussex
Kate Diver, our marketing graduate, is from Lewes and this year she has taken the day off to attend the celebrations - it must be worth the trip! Kate said she likes this Guy Fawkes celebrations because of the pure English eccentricity that takes place. The festivities revolve around a parade by local bonfire societies who burn various effigies in the street of Lewes. It has been compared to an army of fire ants roaming the streets! The parade convenes at the site of not one but seven bonfires and a fireworks display.

Bridgewater, Somerset
Bridgewater's celebrations are great as they combining a traditional fireworks display with a carnival procession giving something for everyone. The carnival includes floats, samba music, brass bands and tribute acts. We would also recommend catching the ‘squibbing' procession, where poles are carried aloft containing lit explosive at either end. Make sure you stand back!

York Maze, York
With York being the birthplace of Guy Fawkes we think it only seems fitting to celebrate bonfire night at York Maze. There will be lots going on, starting with fire jugglers and flame swallowers, then after the bonfire and fireworks display the evening will be wrapped up with a band. So, tuck into some bonfire night fare then get your dancing shoes on and work off the calories!

Nottingham Castle, Nottingham
This display at Nottingham Castle will be raising money for charity so all the more reason to visit. Aside from fireworks the castle will play host to traditional food stalls, live bands and a charity fire walk where volunteers walk over hot coals! Bear in mind you need to register for training before being able to do this walk. Here at RYVITA® HQ we do a lot for charity but I'm not sure anyone would be brave enough to do that!

Ottery St Mary, Devon
Carol Flint, the RYVITA® head of marketing who comes from Devon, reliably informs us that the little town of Ottery St Mary comes alive on November 5th. The town features a 30ft bonfire, fireworks and a fairground but according to Carol it's the flaming barrels of tar that make this celebration so special.  Apparently, the barrels can only be carried by local residents but men, women and children all take part!

Meadowbank stadium, Edinburgh
If you like them big then this is the biggest in all of Edinburgh. A terrific combination of fireworks, children's entertainment and music make this the biggest celebration in Edinburgh. There are sure to be a few bagpipes adding to the festivities.

Heaton Park, Manchester
Head over to Heaton Park which promises to have something for all the family. Watch in wonder at the fireworks and bonfire. What we really like is the added bonus of a funfair.

Lord Mayor's Fireworks, London
This display takes place on 14th November to mark the end of the Lord Mayor's Show. Look on as more than half a tonne of giant fireworks fly into the sky. Some reach over 600ft before exploding so you'll be able to see the fireworks for miles. Ben, from the Ryvita marketing team, attends this display each year and recommends heading down to Victoria Embankment for the best views.

Glasgow Green Fireworks, Glasgow
If you're wanting to attend the largest organised fireworks display in Scotland then RYVITA® recommends Glasgow Green. This 30-minute event doesn't just include fireworks but you will also find live bands, a funfair and some very impressive lasers.

Penrhos Beach, Holyhead, Anglesey
If like us you like the idea of fireworks on an island get yourself over to the island of Anglesey for a Bonfire Night on the beach. Alongside the fizzy fireworks exploding over the bay, there will also be plenty of other attractions including a fair, local music and seaside rides for the kids.

Roundhay Park, Leeds
The biggest display in the Leeds area promises to be an absolute cracker. Join the crowd for live music, thundering fireworks and a gigantic bonfire.

Blackheath, London
If you're short on time this free 30 minute event will suit you down to the ground. The display features an array of fireworks that are some of loudest around. If you've got time, try the food stands sampling various international cuisines or you could take your own in RYVITA® bonfire food in the form of in RYVITA® Thins and dips. Not quite so international but very healthy and British!

Fireworks Spectacular, Tutbury Castle, Staffordshire
If you're intrigued by the history of Guy Fawkes then RYVITA®  recommend a trip to Tutbury Castle. The castle's annual display which hosts a dramatic battle beneath a mocked up Houses of Parliament promises to be a real crowd pleaser. If lucky, you may even get to meet the infamous Guy Fawkes himself (well an impersonator anyway!).

Bangless Bonfire Night, Bristol Zoo
If all the snap, crackle and pops aren't for you then we've found the perfect Bonfire for you. Why not try Bristol Zoo's bangless bonfire night? The fireworks are still as bright and colourful as ever but minus the noise which may frighten little ones and the zoo's animals.

Although we've tried our hardest to provide you with accurate information, we would recommend checking with the bonfire organiser for full details.
