Top 5 Fruit Crunch Toppings

Posted by Ryvita on 16th October 2019

As part of our FibreFit campaign, I want to show you my top 5 Fruit Crunch toppings. If you haven’t signed up to our #30in30 challenge yet then I’d highly recommend it for quick, easy and informative tips on how you can increase your fibre intake over 30 days just by making small swaps or adding extras into what you’re already eating – simple! You can sign up here.

Before our FibreFit campaign, I knew I wasn't getting enough good stuff into my body, especially fibre. It wasn't widely spoken about so it was never something I even gave a second thought to. Working on this campaign has completely opened my eyes to fibre but also my holistic health and looking after myself in more ways than I'd cared to imagine previously.

As for our honey drizzled, fruit laden Currants, Seeds & Oats Crunchy Rye Breads, they're high in fibre so will help you on your way to being FibreFit! We all love a sweet afternoon snack here at Ryvita HQ and I want to share my favourites. People are always surprised when I tell them that our Fruit Crunch has been around for 15 years (yep, FIFTEEN!) – they are definitely our best kept secret! There's just one problem though, once you try them, you won’t be able to put them down...

1. Fruit Crunch with chocolate spread & strawberries

This is a classic that you just can’t go wrong with. My little trick is to make sure you spread on the dimpled side (not the smooth side) to make sure you get chocolate spread into every little bit of space – perfect! This is our most popular topping when we sample at Cancer Research UK events across the country – they’re always a winner.

2. Fruit Crunch topped with fat free Greek yogurt and peaches, drizzled with honey

This couldn’t be any simpler (or tastier!) – just add a dollop of Greek yogurt and some sliced peaches then finish off with a quick drizzle of honey for that super sweet hit.

3. Fruit Crunch with chocolate spread and marshmallow fluff

We only recently discovered this at our ‘Ryvita around the world’ staff event but it’s quickly become one of my favourites! If you love S’Mores from the USA then this will make you feel like you’re sitting right by that toasty camp fire (singing optional, of course!).

4. Fruit Crunch with ricotta, fig and honey

If you’re a sweet and savoury kinda person then you’ve come to the right place… This topping is a game changer – the smoothness of the cheese with a hint of sweetness is something you’re guaranteed to love. I like this combination so much that I've popped the recipe here for you to try:

5. Fruit Crunch with Nutter Butter and sliced apple

To finish off, our highest in fibre Fruit Crunch recipe is something I can’t resist for elevenses. You can use any nut butter you fancy but I usually reach for almond as it's my fave. If you use the recommended recipe quantities, you’ll get a whopping 11g of fibre and be well on your way to achieving your daily target of 30g! Check out the recipe for exact measurements:

Now I've shared my favourite recipes, I’d really like to hear some of yours, so if you’re posting on Instagram, remember to tag us (@ryvitauk) and use #RyvitaFibreFit so we can have a nosey!
