This year we set out on a quest to prove that a healthy lunch doesn’t have to mean a boring lunch. Why? Because we believe food should nourish the body and the soul.
You might have noticed a new addition to our website – The Revoluncheoniser – which is our way of helping you to conquer your lunches by finding lots of delicious new flavour combinations. If you haven’t seen it yet, we would highly recommend heading over to give it a spin!
Believe it or not we take our research very seriously; a great deal of careful planning, scientific testing, and a LOT of eating, went into making our generator. We even teamed up with flavour expert Dr Rachel Edwards-Stuart to come up with incredibly tasty and sometimes surprising combinations.
Dr Rachel Edwards-Stuart is a food and flavour scientist. The recipes she has created for us use something called the flavour pairing hypothesis which uses scientific methods to pair ingredients together. Flavour compounds in each of our 12 crispbread flavours were compared with a database to work out which other ingredients shared similar flavour compounds, and these combinations were then tested to find out which worked best together.
